A personal backup tool for one home server.
proxmox-backup-sync copies backups of a privately operated Proxmox VE home server to the server owner's own Google Drive, so that a copy of the backups exists away from the hardware they were taken on.
The home server takes nightly backups of its virtual machines and containers onto a local disk. Once a week a script on that server uses rclone and the Google Drive API to upload the newest backup of each machine, plus the server's own configuration archives, into a single folder in the owner's Google Drive, and removes the copies it replaces.
This is not a service and there is nothing to sign up for. It runs on one machine, for one person, and uses only that person's own Google account. It is operated privately by Fabian Modig.
